Safety First: Is Chiropractor for Kids Treatment Safe?

In the Boulder Bubble it's hard to know if something is a true claim or someone's opinion. Everyone seems to have an opinion.

And some of those opinions think that a chiropractor for kids is a bad idea. That's 100% opinion, and we have the facts to back it up.

Learn why you should bring your child in for an adjustment, below.

A Chiropractor for Kids: Is it Safe?

Let's get this out of the way before we go into why - YES, taking your child to a chiropractor is safe. Just like infant massages are safe and letting kids run around Scott Carpenter park like a crazy person is safe.

There is absolutely no evidence that says kids have negative effects from adjustments. Zero.

So if you think the benefits below sound like they're a good fit for your child, make an appointment here.

What Can Child Chiropractors Treat?

If you're wondering why anyone would take a child in for an adjustment, here are some symptoms they can treat.

1. Colic

Think about when you have gas pain. It radiates all around your body, right? And it gives you an uncomfortable tight feeling in your stomach that you can never seem to get rid of.

Luckily for adults, this is an occasional occurrence. But if you have a child with colic, they experience this every time they eat. Imagine having to endure that pain daily. You'd cry and refuse to sleep too!

An adjustment can help move the gas out of the infant's body and relieve their pain. You may even find that it helps them sleep through the night - and who doesn't want that?

2. Ear Infections

Did your kid pick up something at their Montessori school? Or maybe they got some water in their ear playing in the Boulder Creek during the farmers market.

Either way, ear infections are excruciatingly painful and lead to a very unhappy household.

To restore peace and to reduce their pain, take them in to see a chiropractor. They can help drain fluid from the ear, either directly or indirectly (by an adjustment).

You'll want to find a chiropractor that works with children. Not everyone in Boulder does - so be sure to check their site before you pack up the hybrid and bring your child in.

3. Alignment Issues

Did your baby come out with some sort of musculoskeletal problem? Even if it's as simple as them always turning their head to one side? A chiropractor can help with that.

While you don't want to stop any physical therapy you're doing, regular adjustment schedule can help move things along.

Child Appointment Tips

We know you want to be involved in your child's treatment process, and we want you to be too! Having a parent near-by helps the child stay calmer and relax their body so they can better benefit from treatment.

You're welcome to hold hands or even hold your chiropractor for kids appointment - depending on the movements we need to make.

Don't worry - we're all friends here.
